Our new concept in shipboard entertainment aboard Holland America Line is the new “Showroom At Sea”. The centerpiece of this new entertainment lineup is a musical repertory company, showcasing singers from two distinct vocal styles, one operetta/legitimate musical theatre and the other Broadway/contemporary pop, as well as dancers and a musical comedy actor. Various combinations of performers appear each night… from two classical singers backed by a 14-piece orchestra, to a four man pop/rock doo-wop group on a street corner, to a singing host and his guests in a fictitious Vegas nightclub, to an ensemble for the ultimate Broadway tribute.  Please check out the "Showroom At Sea" page audition for requirements.

OFFICE CHATTER SEPTEMBER:

SEPTEMBER GREETINGS FROM THE CASTING OFFICE!  
 
The summer is almost over, but the Casting Office is still a buzz with contracts and audition dates.  We will be in New York City this month. September 14th is our singer call, September 15th is our dancer call, and on September 16th we will have our “Showroom at Sea” auditions.  Our auditions in Ohio and Virginia last month went VERY well, and we found some very talented singers and dancers.  And while we were there, we had some time to enjoy a few theme park shows and of course, ride some of the exciting rides too!  Thank you to all who made that possible.
 
STILETTO’s 2011 audition dates will be announced very soon and we are happy to say we are adding some new cities to the list, so keep your eyes out for that announcement.
 
Best of luck to the Zaandam cast who are beginning their changeover. They are a talented cast and we know we they will have a blast.  The Maasdam and Eurodam casts are in rehearsals and later this month the Ryndam cast will arrive in sunny California to begin their rehearsal process.  Finally, the Noordam and Statendam casts join us as the last two casts to rehearse for changeovers in 2010!  It's amazing that we're already nearing the end of the year and getting ready for 2011!
 
For all of our friends north of the border, get your phones out and vote! Charlene Hart and Jonathan Arsenault are both doing very well in Canada’s “So You Think You Can Dance.”  We are so happy for them and proud that these two veterans of STILETTO are doing so well.  We wish them both all the very best!
 
This month's photo is from the recent TV special taping of STILETTO Entertainment client, singer Matt Dusk including a special performance with Lorna Luft, also a STILETTO Entertainment client.  We had cast members and friends at the taping in Las Vegas and it turned out to be one GREAT day. Once again, we encourage all of you to continue to send us your most unique and favorite pictures from your adventures at sea!  The winning picture will be in the next edition of OFFICE CHATTER.  
 

Our successful “Showroom At Sea” format will be implemented on two additional ships in 2011 (making that a total of six ships!), not to mention two of our Vista Class ships will have the new Vista Vision format onboard.  We will soon be updating the Casting Matrix online to show these changes.  As you can see, we’re always busy with new casts and new shows.  So if you are interested, let us know.  It also never hurts to tell a friend (or two) about us either!  We love to see new faces at our auditions!
