NOVEMBER OFFICE CHATTER:

Casting Quote of the Month: “All the world's a stage and most of us are desperately unrehearsed.”

HAPPY NOVEMBER from the Casting Office!  
 
Well, it is no longer quiet here at STILETTO.  We now have the entire Veendam, Rotterdam and Westerdam casts in our studios rehearsing.
 
The Rotterdam “Showroom At Sea” cast is currently working on show #3.  The new Love Broadway show has been completed and it is wonderful, if we do say so ourselves.  And, apparently these friends are also pumpkin-carvers extraordinaire!!  Their intricate artwork is one of our photo winners this month!
 
The Veendam “Showroom At Sea” male singers have finished learning Street Singin’, and now with the entire cast here, we look forward to the run-throughs of the next show.
 
The Westerdam singers have had many days of vocal rehearsals and are eager to start rehearsing with the dancers this week.
 
The Zuiderdam and Oosterdam casts are finished with cast changes and are now enjoying successful contracts in Alaska, Mexico and the Caribbean.   
 
In case you haven’t had the chance to check it out yet, we want to remind you all that we have a new addition to our website.   The “Showroom at Sea” page describes our new and exciting project.  As you are probably aware, this new concept has been implemented on the Veendam and is about to be on the Rotterdam.  And, at the beginning of 2010, it will also be on the Ryndam and Statendam.   So, if you have any friends that you think may be ideal for any of those roles (all cast members have Broadway and National Tour credits) please don’t hesitate to contact us or forward them the link!  
 
Our 2010 Audition Tour is almost ready to be announced.  Be sure to keep your eyes open for that announcement.  We have added a few new cities and are very excited to return to our staple cities as well.  
 
We had a wonderful time at our recent London auditions.  We shared a fabulous dinner with our friends across the pond!  Included in this edition is a photo from Victoria Nicol.  In addition, we just returned from our NYC “Showroom at Sea” audition and found some fabulous talent and are looking forward to our Los Angeles “Showroom at Sea” audition this Sunday, as well as our general auditions on November 22nd.  Please make sure you stop by and say hello if you are in LA.
 
Once again, to our valued veterans, be aware that due to the eight month contracts, coupled with the new show format on the Veendam, Rotterdam, Ryndam and Statendam, back-to-back contracts may be more difficult to set up. Of course, we will always do our best to place you where you desire, so please be patient with us!
 
As always, we ask that our veterans and those of you on our HIRE LIST continue to update us (every 8 to 10 weeks) on your availability, interests in ships/itinerary and any changes to your phone numbers and/or email addresses.  Please make sure you email Jodie and James directly.
